Sign Of The Times

by Caroline Stanley SOURCE Flavorpill

Billboards create clutter and add an ugly element to often-gorgeous landscapes. Flavorpill found this inventive piece of public art in Vancouver: an "anti-billboard" of sorts made from stainless steel rods that creative the billboard's negative space. Genius.

Non-Sign II by Seattle-based art collective Lead Pencil Studio might be our favorite public art installation of the year. Located just outside of Vancouver, the sculpture — made from stainless steel rods that create the negative space of a billboard — draws the viewer’s attention to the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
