Marissa Nadler – “Baby, I Will Leave You In The Morning”

by JA SOURCE Stereogum

With strong connections to the American Gothic (including references to Edgar Allen Poe) and a base in ancient forms of art, like wood-carving and book-binding, Marissa Nadler has emerged as one of the most intriguing song-writers of the last few years, with a voice that breaks your heart.

After leaving Kemado, Nadler’s releasing her forthcoming self-titled, Brian McTear-produced fifth full-length on her own. Here’s a track from it, ”Baby, I Will Leave You In The Morning.”

JACKarcher digs one of her old videos too. So if you like her sound, you will totally love this kick-ass vid.
