Spurr Of The Moment

by Simon Spurr SOURCE Simon Spurr

There was a distinctly British feeling in the air with anything Simon Spurr. The London native moved to New York to become head menswear designer for cK Calvin Klein and later Design Director of Ralph Lauren Purple Label and Ralph Lauren Black Label, before starting his own line in 2006.

His love for the classic British aesthetic hasn't left him as his following continue to be surprised and duly treated to Saville Row-style suits (with a modish twist), colorful twists on traditional lines and patterns with an ever present backbeat of English bands (including The Street and Pete Doherty's Babyshambles) play in the background of his studio, shows or on his playlists. We hope Mr. Spurr isn't pining for home too much, the fashion world has responded very well to him.

Here is a look at the Spring and Summer collection 2011.
