Initially I bought several pairs of the Slim Fit in these pants and the only reason I’m circling back on the Straight Fit is for slightly more room in the calf area. And, to be clear, the ONLY difference in the Slim and Straight Fits is from the knee down. But, that’s precisely what the sizing chart says which should be the norm for all brands out there. Yes, these pants are very well made and fit like a glove right out of the bag. Yes, these pants will last a very long time (I’ve had pairs for over 2 years now that still look and feel brand new and buttons and zippers still operate like brand new). Yes, these pants will stand up to harsh washing and drying cycles. All these things are top tier but wouldn’t necessarily put Jack Archer at top tier level. What does put them at top tier level is the fact that the pants fit exactly as the sizing chart says every time on every color in every fit across their Jetsetter line and even after tons of wash and dry cycles they never shrink or change at all from that day 1 out of bag fit. Furthermore, every claim Jack Archer makes about these pants are 100% true. Stretch? Yes and in the right places but never too much or too little. Are they cool (temp-wise) for all day wear? Yes, very. Do they actually have that “tailored, put-together” look? Yes, and then some.
